Schedule:

Full-time 40 hour work week.  Monday through Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am with overtime possible on Friday

Location:  100 Patriot Drive, Pittston, PA 18640

 

SUMMARY

The VAS Line Operator is responsible for operating designated production equipment to support building mixed case pallets (rainbow pallets) for key customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for start-up, operation, change over, shut down and preventative maintenance of assigned production equipment.
  2. Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently in accordance to Company Safety Policy.
  3. Perform manual tasks such as loading and supplying production line items, reworking product and loading conveyors with cases of product.
  4. Perform quality checks and complete checklists according to Company standards.
  5. Track lot codes by product and verify quantities of product.
  6. Cross-train on the functional operations of the production line.
  7. Provide general plant, production line and facility clean up.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
  2. One (1) year production experience, preferably in food or beverage environment.
  3. One (1) year forklift experience preferred
  4. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, open cases and lift product onto a conveyor.
  5. Physically able to safely lift cases of water and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  6. Fluent in English language required.  Must be able to read and understand process documentation (English).

 WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.  Work may involve long periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting and lifting for the duration of the shift.  Work involves repetitive lifting of cases of water up to 23lbs from waist height onto conveyor. Working in this environment may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; seatbelt use, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, protective footwear, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes, open toe shoes, and jewelry are not permitted.
