Night Shift Manufacturing Manager

The Night Shift Manufacturing Manager will direct, supervise and coordinate PET production operations for the Company. He/She will ensure products are manufactured on schedule, per specifications and within the prescribed quality standards. This position reports to the Senior Vice President.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 11pm to 7am. On call weekends may be required to support operational team as needed.

Responsibilities include:

Manage production supervisors and operators to ensure they are operating within accordance of plant policies and procedures.
Maintain a record of production numbers.
Establish training and procedures to foster a well-trained and motivated production staff.
Ensure smooth production operation and coordination between all departments and establish and maintain production interdepartmental relations.
Provide support with the installation, repair, and upkeep of company property including machines, mechanical systems, buildings and other structures within the organization.
Provide support to operational teams to maintain quality and make equipment adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
Schedule and conduct shift meetings with supervisors and other management staff.
Maintain and approve attendance records and time off requests.
Assist Senior Vice President with departmental activities.

This position is a hybrid role to include both leadership qualities and hands on mechanical/technical experience. The ideal candidate must have proven communication and leadership skills working in a manufacturing environment, as well as, the ability to troubleshoot, fix, and install the electrical and mechanical components on a production line. Must have the ability to build a team and motivate others to achieve goals. Significant hands-on engagement is required for this position. Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work related experience.
