The Night Shift Manufacturing Manager will direct, supervise and coordinate PET production operations for the Company.  He/She will ensure products are manufactured on schedule, per specifications and within the prescribed quality standards. This position reports to the Senior Vice President.

Schedule:  Monday through Friday 11pm to 7am.  On call weekends may be required to support operational team as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage production supervisors and operators to ensure they are operating within accordance of plant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a record of production numbers.
  • Establish training and procedures to foster a well-trained and motivated production staff.
  • Ensure smooth production operation and coordination between all departments and establish and maintain production interdepartmental relations.
  • Provide support with the installation, repair, and upkeep of company property including machines, mechanical systems, buildings and other structures within the organization.
  • Provide support to operational teams to maintain quality and make equipment adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
  • Schedule and conduct shift meetings with supervisors and other management staff.
  • Maintain and approve attendance records and time off requests.
  • Assist Senior Vice President with departmental activities.

 

This position is a hybrid role to include both leadership qualities and hands on mechanical/technical experience. The ideal candidate must have proven communication and leadership skills working in a manufacturing environment, as well as, the ability to troubleshoot, fix, and install the electrical and mechanical components on a production line. Must have the ability to build a team and motivate others to achieve goals.  Significant hands-on engagement is required for this position.  Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work related experience.
